13 Shakespeare Posters

I spent the past weekend hanging with my lovely aunt Karen, who is super-interesting for many reasons. One of those is the fact that, ever since I've known her, she has been working to see staged performances of every single play written by William Shakespeare. (And if you know anything about Shakespeare, you know that he wrote 37 of them--give or take--and that not all of them are performed that often, particularly the histories.)

I just love this little tidbit about her--and she's only got 11 more to go (an amazing feat!). Are you working your way through anything fun? Lemme know--I am always looking for great lists to tackle...

Pining for a Canine: 6 Pet Portraits You'll Love

Lately, I've been contemplating getting a dog. Which is a very silly thing, because I do not have the space, or the time, or a close-enough-to-home commute, or even basic dog-owning skills to have one right now.

Also, I am finding that I may be wanting a dog for a reason that could be considered unhealthy: I totally want a portrait made of my not-yet-acquired canine. And as we all know, the possibility of acquiring a new piece of original art is no reason to purchase a pet. Blah blah blah.

So I am restraining. For now. Because, come on, what if I got THIS guy? Can't you just SEE the amazing addition that little bundle of cute would be to my art collection I mean my life?

Falling in love with, um, David

I do not have a tattoo. But after seeing this art by David Corbett, I briefly considered getting one that said, "I Heart David 4-EVER!!!"

Then I remembered that I have a little brother named David. And that could catapult said tattoo into the "possibly awkward" category.

Also, ew.

So instead, I'm thinking about just purchasing one of his prints over at 20x200.com. Which, for all parties involved, is a much, much more comfortable decision.

Kitchen Kuteness

I will make up ANY excuse to buy myself a new kitchen gadget: "dinner guests," "new recipe," "it's a Thursday." But now that I have found these delish little utensil- and appliance-inspired goodies, my checkbook may have just been sent into panic mode.
