Details from the BOFFO Show House

I had a chance to stop by the BOFFO Show House over the long weekend. Get a little glimpse, then get info here on the artistic collaboration, on display on the Lower East Side of Manhattan until June 4. (Inspiring stuff! Especially glad to see pieces from UM Project and Ghiora Aharoni.)

ICFF 2012: Lighting, Lighting, Lighting

The International Contemporary Furniture Fair is back in the city, and I took a look over the weekend. The product that filled my camera lenses more than anything else this go 'round? Desk lamps, pendant lighting, and sconces. Oh, the lighting! Here are some gems I spotted...

UM Project's stunning L.U.M. desk lamps (that polished copper shade is calling my name).

The sexy Osiris Chandelier by Matthew Fairbank Design.

Hello there, Delaney Light Works.

Tokyo, a perfectly proportioned little lighter from Misewell.

TOPAN suspension lighting by Ameico Industries.

Lightweight wood picks from Argentina's Weplight.

Striking work (as always) by Lindsey Adelman.

Iacoli & McAllister. Yes.

I know, right? All those colored cords! (Pablo Designs. Talk to them about it.)

In the Moment

Yesterday I told you about François Chambard of UM Project, who talked to me about the "moment" he created within the kitchen table he installed in the townhouse project featured on the latest cover of Interior Design mag.

Today I want to tell you that François just sent me a few photos of that smart, small screw detail.

See what I mean? It's that small touch--that moment--that knocks a simple white table up a notch on the chic scale.

God is in the details, I tell ya. And moments are the thing. And if I've learned anything after this week, it's that I need more of them. (And maybe even a townhouse. Or perhaps just a kitchen table.)

Thanks, François!

P.S. See more pictures of the AMAZING townhouse project here (much better than yesterday's iPhone sitch). Happy Friday...
