Hey, Baby

I haven't met my first niece or nephew yet, but I sure am having a good time celebrating his or her upcoming October arrival. I hosted a family baby shower for my lovely (and could-she-be-cuter?-pregnant-lady) sister-in-law over the weekend, and since we don't know the sex of the little one, the theme was good ole green and yellow.

With help from my mom,  youngest brother, his girlfriend, my middle brother the dad-to-be (who helped take some of these shots when I was busy running around before the festivities), and a good man named Trader Joe, we pulled it off without a hitch. (Just like my bro and sister-in-law will pull off being amazing parents. Congrats, you two!)

Hey Amy,
Wow, everything looked great! I just hosted a bridal shower last weekend and I also wanted to have a pitcher of fresh water with cucumber slices. I was overruled and we ended up doing orange slices. But anyway, the cucumber slices in water brought me back to where we used to eat before "movie club". Do you remember that place? It was over on 9th or 10th Ave. I think. It may have been called Market.

OMG! The Food Face dish - love it!! Remember we saw that some time ago on a fun website... can't remember where. Was that your gift? It is just great... for kids AND adults!

@Kendall - yes! That was Market Cafe. http://www.menupages.com/restaurants/market-cafe/ Cucumber slices in water are SO refreshing--feel like I always have some when I am at a spa or something.

@Karen - Anna's mom gave her the Food Face. Can't remember where we saw it before, though--do remember it, though! My gift was the shower, natch; but, I also gave her an NYC book, addressed thank-you notes, and a few other trinkets. (-:
